Myths About Electrolysis

Myth: Electrolysis is too painful.

In most cases electrolysis does not cause much discomfort. Modern methods have reduced this discomfort.

Myth: The electric tweezer method is permanent.

The FDA and Medical Association recognize only electrolysis as a permanent method of removing hair. Some states in the USA prohibit those selling electric tweezers from claiming it provides permanent hair removal.

Myth: Temporary methods of hair removal can be better.

Chemical depilatories are often used to remove hair. These products can be very irritating and can be harmful and can actually make the hair appear thicker especially in the sunlight. Waxing will cause the hair to increase in growth and thickness due to the ripping action of taking the hair from the follicle.
